Who am I

and why you should choose the Arabic Immersion method ?

My name is Abdelkarim, I was born in Avignon in the south of France.
I did not learn the Arabic language, but I was born into it. I acquired it naturally, just like any child would acquire French or English in a family environment. My parents passed on to me their love for the Arabic language at an early age.
So, it was only natural that my studies culminated in a Master’s degree (Bac+5) in the didactics of teaching the Arabic language.
At the same time, my eldest, Mouadh, was born in 2006, followed by Safiya in 2007. As a parent passionate about the Arabic language, my obsession was for them to master Modern Standard Arabic… but I didn’t know how to go about it!
I was eager to teach them Arabic because my dream was to have a family that was perfectly fluent in Arabic.

It was in 2010 that I was finally able to touch this dream, when I discovered Professor Abdellah Dannan and his immersion learning method!
And by practically applying this method with my own family, it only took a few months for my dream to become a reality: not only did my children speak Arabic, but they were able to pronounce all the endings of words and sentences without making any mistakes, even though they hadn’t yet turned six!

Building on this experience, I expanded my teaching to the Alfitra School, which I founded in Tangier. Then, so that learners around the world could benefit from immersion learning, I launched Arabic Immersion, an online program that now hosts 4500 learners, both children and adults.
At the same time, we formed several partnerships with various organizations (mosques, associations, schools) in France, Belgium, and the UK to offer a blended learning model (in-person + digital).

FAQ

The AI method relies on immersion. Therefore, teachers must have a sufficient level to interact in Arabic. Of course, the Dannan training to improve Arabic skills will be provided before the start of the school year. However, this training is conducted entirely in Arabic and requires a minimum understanding and oral expression.
We train 1 teacher for every 15 students.
Up to 12 years old, the children’s program is perfectly suitable for all students. In fact, even if your students have already attended classes, traditional methods do not develop comprehension and oral expression. They will all be at roughly the same level in terms of oral Arabic skills by the start of the course.
Children can access the platform 24/7 throughout the duration of the contract with the association.
